The Gryphon Guard
The Gryphon Guard is the Education branch of Forever 41, a local non-profit that works to support mental health and suicide prevention initiatives.
The Gryphon Guard was formed to bring a practical, simple solution to the bullying issues our kids face today. Our goal is to educate children and adults alike about the terrible effects bullying has on everyone and to provide strategies and knowledge to mitigate these effects.

Pumbaa, our Education Coordinator, is a current Director of the Forever 41 Society and has been since its inception in 2022. He is passionate about helping children who have been bullied, to find their voice and learn to stand up for themselves and for others who may not know how. Pumbaa‘s anti-bullying education program was launched in early 2024 and has brought help to over 1500 children, ages 4 to 18, throughout southern Alberta. He is certified in Red Cross Psychological First Aid and studies the teachings of Dr Dan Olweus, the world’s pre-eminent researcher and educator on the topic of bullying.

Night Fury is the President and co-founder of the Forever 41 Society. She brings a strong passion for mental health and believes that everyone deserves easy access to the various supports needed to heal – body, soul, and mind. Towards that end, she is certified in Mental Health First Aid; Red Cross Psychological First Aid; ASIST trained; and has been a volunteer crisis responder in a variety of roles. She is currently developing a mental health awareness program to complement the anti-bullying education program.
